There are various options to bring the notifications back to the foreground. ranging from simple popups to more elaborate solutions that allow for greater power and interactivity. However, what if you’re just looking for a simple solution exclusively for texting?
One of XDA Senior Member ibCurlyFry brings us ibPopup to float notifications atop any running application. The app’s notifications are displayed without interrupting your running activity, and you can even interact with the popup and the underlying activity at the same time. And since the interface uses transparency, you can operate the other app as if the popup weren’t even there in the first place.
When an ibPopup message appears, you are able to reply, as well as swipe to cycle through received text messages. You can also swipe the popup to close it. The app was created using the Tasker App Factory, but it does not require Tasker itself to run. The colors are themed to match Holo, and you can resize and move the popup and text. It also handles group messages.
You can give ibPopup a shot over at the application thread.
